MCLEMORE, REV. A.C. - 84, a "good and faithful servant", adoring husband for 61 years, minister of the Gospel, and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, has ended an earthly life of sacrificial service to his family, his country and those in need, and began a life eternal in the presence of Our Father on Sunday, November 25, 2012. A veteran of the Korean War, A.C. served in the U.S. Air Force and the Naval Air Reserve. He served as a pastor for more than 43 years, and devoted his life to proclaiming the Gospel, not only in words but in tireless acts of service to those who were sick, hurting and in need. A.C. is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children, Debbie and Harry Wootan, Cindy and Greg Price, and Tim and Kimberly McLemore; his grandchildren, Ashley and Chris Blankenship, Bonnie Wootan, Emily Price, Isaac McLemore and Ian McLemore; and a great granddaughter, Layla Blankenship. The family will receive friends at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel at 6200 Kingston Pike on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. The burial will take place at the new Veteran's Cemetery in South Knoxville on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. with full military honors.
