He was born July 5, 1951, in Dyess.
He was an oil consultant with Halliburton for 26 years and retired from Seico after two years. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Inus Carr; a stepfather, Charles Brown; and a brother, Michael Wayne Carr.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene of the home; two sons, Jimmy Taylor and Chuck Carr of Van Buren; five sisters, Annette Thomas of Magazine, Brenda Eddings of Joiner, Barbara Wheaton of Buffalo, Okla., Beckye Lee of Drasco and Renee Lee of Van Buren; and one grandchild.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
