CHAPMANS TO LIE IN ARLINGTON
FUNERAL TOMORROW FOR MERRILL CHAPMAN

The bodies of the only two Clinton County service men from one family to die in action will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Va., according to the family's plans.

The body of T/5 Merrill E. Chapman, son of Foster Chapman, of Queens Run, a tank crewman, of the Armored Division, who fell in the invasion of Normandy, will be buried there first, in military rites tomorrow at 2 p.m. His body was returned a few weeks ago to this country from its resting place in France near historic Omaha Beach.

His brother, Pfc. Allen Chapman, a marine, fell in action on Iwo Jima in the Pacific. The family has requested the return of his body but it has not yet been included in those brought back from the Pacific theater.

The young men's father will be unable to attend the services at Arlington tomorrow. Others in the family who will be present will be Merrill's widow, Mrs. Mary E. Fisher Chapman, 1044 W. Fourth St., and these brothers and sisters; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chapman, Queens Run; Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Chapman, this city; Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Lamey and Mr. and Mrs. Junior Chapman, Allison Township, and Mr. and Mrs. John Heck, Mill Hall.
