Mrs. Anna Swenson Dies in Elveston
Mrs. Anna Fridrika Elizabeth Swenson, 76, wife of John Swenson, died Sunday evening at 8:55 in her home in Elveston, following an illness of many months.
Funeral services were held afternoon at 2 in the Elveston PresbyterianChurch, conducted by Rev. Herbert Atkinson, and burial was in Moss RidgeCemetery, at Carthage.
Mrs. Swenson was born near Timewell March 30, 1874, a daughter of Henry and Hilke Willms Holtkamp. She married John Swenson 23 July, 1894, at Mt.Sterling. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Surviving are the husband, four daughters, Mrs. Greta Dennison of Sutter, Mrs. Goldie Chew and Mrs. Dorothy Stanton of Keokok, Iowa, Mrs. EdnaTucker of Carthage, five sons Earl of Keokuk, Hennan and Orville of Kansas City, Kans, Rolland of Timewell and Leonard of Basco, a sister, Mrs. Frieda Hill of Timewell, three brothers, Francis Holtkamp of Mt. Sterling and Hilkia Holtkamp of Knowlest, Okla, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.

The funeral was at the Elveston Presbyterian Church by Rev. Herbert Atkinson yesterday afternoon, with burial in the Moss Ridge Cemetery.

Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Junius Bachman, Herman Bachman, Lee Ewing, and Leonard Ewing, accompanied by Mrs. James Stump. They sang "Rock of Ages" and My Jesus, I love 'I'hee."
Pallbearers were Willis McCrory, Glen Price, Floyd Stump, Fred Marshall, George Heady, and Elmer Mulch.
