On Saturday, May 21st, 2011, our most loved, Wilda Harvey Martin of Medina, Ohio formerly of Glen Morgan passed away in Medina. She was in her 80th year.
Arlet Wilda Harvey was born on September 2, 1930 at Streeter, a twin, she and her twin sister, Wilma Moore of Glen Morgan who survives her were the last of 13 children.
Her parents were the late Elder Willie Elmer and Cecil Pack Harvey. Her brothers, Willie and Carlos and sisters, Henrietta, Dicie, Hilda, Georgie, Cleo, Anna Margaret, Carrie, Latoska, and Elloway have preceded her in death.
A member of the Little Bluestone Primitive Baptist Church at Streeter, Wilma was a former resident of Glen Morgan. Wilma has been a long time resident of Medina, where she was head housekeeper at Best Western Hotel . In her leisure time, she loved tending to her garden.
Wilma was married to Albert Martin, to this loving union of 50 years was born three children. Albert died in 1999.
Their precious children are sons, William and his wife, Georgia of TN, Garry Martin of Aurora, OH and daughter, Linda Krueger and her husband, Barton of Medina; she was the doting grandmother of Carrie Martin Ball and her husband, Marc, Matthew and Zachary Krueger; the proud great grandmother of Kailee, Marissa and Nolan Flowers, Makilee and Marc Ball Jr.; her brother-in-law, Clinton Moore of Glen Morgan.
On Friday, May 27th at 1:00 pm we will remember the life of Arlet Wilda Martin with a service at Melton Mortuary Chapel. Elders Tommy Pack and James Booth will be officiating.
Wilda will then be taken to the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved Albert.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 pm and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
