Burch retired from Bucyrus Erie in 1978, was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lotti T. Dankerl Brainard, 2 infant sons, a granddaughter Kimberly Spinks and 2 sisters Lesley Sealy and Jacqueline Brainard.
He is survived by 2 sons David Brainard and his wife Sheila of North East, Stephen Brainard of Harborcreek, 3 daughters Christine Wyrich and her husband Michael of North East, Charlotte Lapeusz and her husband Terry of North East, Linda Peck and her husband Joeseph of Harborcreek, a brother Murry Brainard and his wife Marion of Erie, 14 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren and a brother-in-law Philip Sealy of Erie.
