He served in the military from 1966 to 1968. During his first tour of duty, he served as an MP, and later in the infantry during the second tour. Paul was employed as a carpenter for 30 years.
He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and all activities that brought those interests together. He also liked making wood products with his hands.
Paul is survived by his son, Paul William Anderson, his daughter, Delane Shirley Davis; and three grandchildren. Paul also leaves behind his four brothers, Andy E., Robert L., Donald J., and Richard A.; sister, Vina M. Slagle; and 28 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 17, at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St. Burial will follow at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 425-4697.
