Umm-ul-Mo'mineen (in Islam the "Mother of Believers"). Safiyya (c. 610 – c. 670) was a Jewish woman captured from the Banu Nadir tribe at age 17, who became Muhammad's wife. She the daughter of Huyayy ibn Akhtab, the chief of the Banu Nadir tribe, and Barra bint Samawal of the Banu Qurayza tribe.
