MRS. MARY VIRGINIA BOOTH BRUMFIELD, 83, of Glenwood, W.Va., loving wife and mother, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at her daughter's residence. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, by the Rev. Rick Brown. Burial will be in Pete Meadows Cemetery, Glenwood, W.Va.

Mary was born March 17, 1920, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Earl and Maggie Turley Booth. On Oct 29, 1938 she married John Henry Brumfield in Pleasant, Mason Co. WV. She attended Faith Gospel Mission.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Brumfield Sr., four brothers, Earl William, Paul, Richard and Vernon Booth; one sister, Bertha Holley; and an infant son, Earl Franklin Brumfield, "Little Frankie."

Survivors include four daughters, Lilly Ward and her husband Buddy of Milton, Shirley Jenkins of Glenwood, Rosella Brumfield and Sarah Earls and her husband Mike, all of Lesage; two sons, John Henry Brumfield Jr. of Point Pleasant, and Robert Daniel "Bobby" Brumfield of Glenwood; one sister, Betty Holley of Kenova; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
