Susie C Morris,90, formerly of 3140 Crawford died on Sept. 16, 2000. She was born of June 6, 1910 in Neosho County to Louis and Ida M (Nickerson) Whetzel. The family lived in Arkansas and then moved to a farm near Parsons. She married Francis Morris on Feb 19, 1942. They lived on a farm near Galesburg for many years. In past years she worked at the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant. Survivors include: a daughter, Mary Thomas of Parsons, two grandchildren, Susie Beach of Parsons, and Earl Hopkins of Wichita, a great grandson, and three sisters, Gladys Chastain of Wichita, Hattie Stangle of Dennis, and Nettie Jenkins of Marhfield, MO. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanie Marie Hopkins in 1978, three brothers, and four sisters, her husband Francis on May 25, 1980.
