Thomas Oscar Coyne, age 95, died November 8, 2012. He was born in Dallas on August 15, 1917 to Thomas and Leah Wagoner Coyne and was a lifelong resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He graduated from Crozier Tech High School and from North Texas State Teachers College. Like so many young men of the Greatest Generation, he dreamed of flying, and after graduation he joined the Army Air Corps and served throughout WWII. He married Patricia Potter on February 10, 1942 in Denver, Colorado. During his long life he was active in many of his children's activities including Boy Scouts and was a founding and lifetime member of the Browne Junior High School Booster Club. He loved to travel, and his favorite word was "Go." He loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years and his son Timothy Coyne. He is survived by his children, Penny Coyne McAdoo, Michael Coyne, Patrick Coyne, and Kathleen Coyne and their families, including six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will be buried at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on November 30.
