POLAND – There was a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial held on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown, with Father Stephen Popovich, officiating for Susan C. LoCicero, 86, who passed away Friday morning, Nov. 23, 2012, with her loving family by her side.

Susan will always be remembered and loved by her family and friends for her passion, smile and love she had always shown to everyone.

She was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Youngstown, the daughter of Matteo and Maria Catullo and was a lifelong area resident.

Susan was a 1944 Honors Graduate of East High School.

She was a former member of St. Dominic Church, where she and her husband taught CCD classes and was a current member of St. Paul the Apostle Church. Upon Susan completing her Cursillo, she remained active in the Cursillo Movement.

Prior to her marriage, she was employed as a book keeper and banker and then became a homemaker along with working at Treasure Island. Her family was always first and they will miss all of her excellent homemade cooking and baking, especially her spaghetti sauce. She always knew the perfect gifts for everyone and it always brightened whatever the event was.

She was an avid traveler with her family and friends throughout the United States and abroad, but her special trips that meant the most to Susan were those she spent with her daughter, Dee.

Susan enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, playing cards with her family and friends, especially the game of Bridge and attending and cheering on the Cleveland Indians, which was handed down from her father.

She leaves behind to hold on to her precious memories, her beloved husband of over 62 years, Joseph "Ace" LoCicero, whom she married Aug. 28, 1950; four children Dee (George) Pitko, Dave LoCicero, Joe LoCicero, with whom she made her home, and Carl (Renee) LoCicero, all of Poland; four grandchildren Christie and Aaron Pitko and Rachel and Maria LoCicero; two sisters Maggie Meyers of Boardman and Millie Knapic of Youngstown; and a brother, Joseph (Susan) Catullo.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Pat and Tony Catullo.

Burial took place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
