Elsie R. Wildasin, of Hanover, passed from this life peacefully for Heavenly rest November 22, 2012.

Born on May 31, 1911, in North Codorus Township, she was the last surviving child of the late Jeremiah and Sara Ann Zartman Senft.

A 1928 graduate of Spring Grove High School, she was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.

Along with her late husband, she volunteered at the Goodwill of Grangeville Fire Co. for over 40 years and spent many years as the treasurer.

Skillful with her hands, she enjoyed embroidery.

She is survived by two daughters, Ethel W. Smith of Hanover, and Betty W. Stambaugh and husband, Nevin of Spring Grove; six grandchildren, Linda Gladfelter and husband, Richard of Hanover, Doug Stambaugh and wife, Sherry of Spring Grove, and Randy Wildasin and wife, Lori, Keith Stambaugh and wife, Melinda, Sherry Crouse and husband, Andy, and Stephanie Williams and husband Travis, all of Hanover; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters and five half brothers and sisters; her husband of 51 years, William H. Wildasin, who died in 1981; and a son, William S. Wildasin, who died in 1999.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m., November 26, 2012, at Panebaker Funeral Home, Hanover, with The Rev. Dr. Daniel M. Yeiser officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
