Marsha J. Thomas, 72, of Lake Lotawana, MO, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, at her residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 19 at D.W. Newcomer's Sons, Floral Hills Chapel. Burial will be in Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, Lee's Summit, MO. Friends may call from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the St. Luke's Hospital Foundation, Nursing Scholarship Fund.
Marsha was born May 21, 1938, in St. Joseph, MO, to Clarence E. and Ruth J.(Sterling) Gordon and had lived in this area most of her life. She retired in August of 2003 as the Director of Admissions for St. Luke's College after 27 years of service. Marsha received both her Bachelor of Arts Degree and her Master's Degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. She was a member of the Missouri College Admissions
Association and The Missouri School Counselor Association. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen R. and Michael Henderson of KCMO, two sons, David M. Thomas of Houston, TX, Steven D. Thomas of Lee's Summit, MO, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sherry Gordon of Orrick, MO, a sister, Mary Janet Sherwood of
