Minnie A. Weih, 83, of Durant, died Friday, November 23, 2001, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Visitations will be 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 26, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Durant Ambulance, Peace United Church of Christ, or the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 27, at Peace United Church of Christ in Bennett. The Rev. Barb Byorum will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by organist, Deb Mohr and vocalist, Henry Bentley. Pallbearers are Ray Arp, Gary Bland, Ronnie Weih, Roy Hagen, Kevin Bland and Jim Von Muenster. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.

Minnie Anna Arp was born December 20, 1917, in Durant, the daughter of Julius and Ella (Stuehm) Arp. She married Leo Harold Weih on February 26, 1938, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1993. She worked at home and was a hostess at Nickerson Farms for 10 years, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed gardening and baking, but spending time with her family always came first. She was a 62 year member of the Sunbury Neighbor Club. She was a member of her husband's band, the Jolly Friends, from 1984 to 1994.

She is survived by two daughters, Lorna (Richard) Pahl of Wilton, and Ludalle (Gregory) Meyer of Bloomingdale, IL; one son, Lenis (Sue) Weih of Clinton; seven grandchildren, Lori (Ben) Wickum, Jodi (Pat) Reid, Julie Weih, Colleen (Jim) Petty, Susan (Richard) Lyon, Christa (Joe) Sloup, and Doug (Kristin) Weih; five great-grandchildren, Anna Weih, Stephany Petty, Ryan Reid, Justin Conklin, and Tyler Lyon; and one sister, Dorothy (Harlen) Bland of Durant.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Rollo Arp, and a sister-in-law, Verna Arp.
