His Obituary:
Funeral services for Connie Willis Bowen, 55, were held at 10:30 Wednesday morning at the Ralston Chapel with the I. C. Pullias officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bowen died Monday morning in the Veterans Hospital, Nashville, after a long illness.
He was a native of Lincoln County and was the son of Rufus Roy and Lula Viola Bishop Bowen.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and a veteran of World War II.
Mr. Bowen was employed at the Elk Cotton Mill here for a number of years before retiring due to ill health.
He is survived by his widow, Odell Brown Bowen, Fayetteville; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Phipps and Miss Carolyn Bowen, both of Fayetteville; one son, Harold Bowen, Fayetteville; two sisters, Miss Lela Bowen, Fayetteville, and Mrs. Abe Smith, Kingsport, Tenn.; one brother, Herbert Bowen, Lawrenceburg, Texas, and two grandchildren.
