John William CARNAHAN
CARNAHAN, John William age 74 of Oakwood passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by the love of his family Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at his home. John was born on November 5, 1938 in Alameda, California to the late John Knox Carnahan and Nedra Pletcher Carnahan. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Elizabeth Reynolds Carnahan; five children, Meta Carnahan High, John (Aline) Carnahan, Andrew (Erin) Carnahan, David (Erin) Carnahan and Sam (Farrah) Carnahan; seven grandchildren; and a brother, Stephen Carnahan. John was a graduate from the University of California Berkeley and worked in the newspaper industry throughout the country. He was an avid sports fan and had a great love for horse racing and all other animals. Spending time with his family brought him great joy and he will be greatly missed by everyone. He was a wonderful husband and father. Services are pending. Services in care of Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel.
