Angelina Catis Vlahos (1895-1985), age 90 [sic] years, died Tuesday in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Mr. Vlahos was born in Greece and came to America at age 14 years to be with her family in New Orleans. In 1929, she move to Biloxi with her husband, the late James T. Vlahos [Demetrios] (1883-1973), to assist his brother Nick Vlahos (1897-1987) in the daily operations of Nick's Pastime Cafe.

Angelina was a longtime member of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Orleans and the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Biloxi. She was a lifetime member of the Daughters of Penelope Chapter 55 of NOLA and the Ladies of the Agapi, ladies auxiliary in Biloxi, and the Ann Grayson Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 50 of Biloxi.

Mrs. Vlahjos was survived by several relatives on the Coast.

Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home of Biloxi directed Mrs. Vlahos' funeral with a service at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox on Beauvoir Road in Biloxi. Internment followed in Southern Memorial Park.
