Bishop Dudley headed the Episcopal Church in Kentucky from 1884 until his death. His school for boys, Trinity Hall, operated on cemetery property and the Church of the Advent was built in 1887-1888 on Cave Hill land east of the Broadway entrance, for which the Board of Managers granted a 99-year lease.
