Robert G. Gillespie, oil operator, died yesterday afternoon, in his home, 5336 Fifth avenue, after a week's illness. Former member of firm of T. A. & R. G. Gillespie, oil producers. Born in old Fifth Ward, son of James and formed firm.... Partnership dissolved about 1900... since then individual oil producer, operating in eastern and middle western parts of country. First United Presbyterian church... Duquesne Club, Pittsburgh Athletic Association, Pittsburgh and Oakmont Country Clubs.... Leaves widow, Mrs. Blanche Nevin Gillespie; two brothers, D. L. and W. M. Gillespie, two sisters, Miss Nannie Gillespie and Mrs. Mary H. Hastings, all of Pittsburgh.
