Mrs. Trudy Outz Holcomb, 85, of Route 2 Holcomb Drive, Martin, widow of Charlie L. Holcomb, died Wednesday, October 7 at her home.
Born November 14, 1901 in Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late John and Georgeann Cothran Outz and had lived most of her life in Stephens County.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Tommie Sanders, Mrs. Mary John Farmer, both of Martin, Mrs. Georgia Burgess of Lavonia, Mrs. Helen Ramsey of East Point and Mrs. Joann Slocum of Norcross; two sons, Fred Holcomb and Jack Holcomb, both of Martin; two brothers, Clyde Outz and Charlie (Pete) Outz, both of Martin; 25 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 9, from the chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Mr. Charles Thain officiating.
The following grandsons served as pallbearers: Allen Williams, Billy Burgess, Keith Farmer, Kippy Ramsey, Rodney Holcomb, Jeffrey Holcomb and Greg Slocum.
Remaining grandsons served as honorary escort.
Whitlock Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Burial: Stephens Memorial Gardens, Toccoa, Georgia
