Brian Donald Carpenter, age 55, of Bay City passed away at his home in Bay City.
Brian was born on October 18, 1957 in Saginaw to John R. and Yvonne (Scott) Carpenter. He retired from General Motors. He married Mary Sova in 1981 in Saginaw, Michigan. He loved to play Chess and enjoyed a variety of board games.
Brian is survived by his Mother; Yvonne Carpenter of Roscommon, Sister; Tracy (Greg McFalls) Anderson of Prudenville, Nephew; Scott (Nichole) Anderson, Nephew; John (Jennifer) Anderson, Niece; Nichole (David) Hinderer and Niece; Katie (Joey) Richards. He is preceded in death by his Father John Carpenter in 2009, Brother James Carpenter and Wife Mary (Sova) Carpenter in 1984.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday November 28, 2012 at Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel at 11 AM, the family will be greeting friends from 10 am until the time of the service at 11 am. Rev. Tom Anderson will conduct the service. Burial will take place at East Lawn Cemetery in Saginaw. Memorials may be directed to the Ausable Free Clinic.
