Sandra Marie Cooley, 59, of Mansfield, died Monday, August 7, 2006, at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness. Born August 30, 1946, in Crestline, she was the daughter of Robert and Virginia Stow DeRodes. Sandra retired from General Motors after 25 years of service. She was active in the U.A.W. Local 549 union. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Virginia DeRodes of Mansfield; two daughters, Susan Timothy Deel of Lucas and Jennifer Charles Powell of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Caden Deel; sister, Barbara and Bud Ratliff of Mobile, Alabama; brother, Samuel and Vicki DeRodes of Kansas City, KS; companion of 20 years, Rick Fraley of Mansfield; two nephews; and one niece. Her father preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, August 10 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor George Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
