The funeral for Susie Knott Tilley, 81, of Collinsville, who died Oct. 28, 2006, at her home, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Collins Funeral Services chapel with the Rev. J.D. Harmon officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Burial park.
The family will receive friends 6-8- p.m. today at the funeral home.
She was born March 5, 1925, in Stoneville, N.C., to Thomas Knott and Burda Stegall Knott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Tilley, who died in 2001; two sisters, Dorothy Hairfield and Nettie Rutherford; and two brothers, Alex Knott and Tom Dillon.
She was a homemaker and in 1983 retired from DuPont after 37 years of service.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Richard Tilley of the home; three brothers, James "Jimmy" Knott and Jack Knott, both of Martinsville, and Sam Knott of Rocky Mount.
