Harry was a member of the Church of Christ on Nile St., where he served as song leader, and was a former deacon at the Wantland Church of Christ. He was a member of the National Association of Retired Letter Carriers. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting, especially elk in Eastern Oregon, reading and watching western movies. Most of all, he enjoyed telling stories and was known for his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife Helen; children and their spouses John and Channell Banks of Springfield, Ore., Cathy and Jim Stern of Eugene, Ore., and Karen and Dale Ellis of Klamath Falls; grandchildren Christina, Ginny, Laura, Glen, Crystal, Amy, Amanda and Aaron; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and one son Michael Banks.
