HOLBAY - George Adam, 61, Johnstown, died peacefully Sept. 1, 2012, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 4, 1951, in Johnstown, son of William J. Sr. and Agnes E. (Nitch) Holbay. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Robert. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, Debra K. (Dupin), and sons, Brad, and wife, Amy, and Todd Adam, all of Johnstown. Also survived by grandchildren, Heather, Victoria, Hudson and Hunter. Brother of William; Carol; Thomas; James; Michael, married to Fay (Gillin); Mary Jo, married to Leslie Holsopple; Stephen; Susan; and Janet. Also survived by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Dorothy Dupin. Member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Brownstown. A 1969 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School and Williamsport Area Technical School. Retired as a chief mechanic from Penelec. Member of Company B, 103rd Armor, 28th Infantry, Pa. National Guard. Member of Johnstown Lodge 175 BPO Elks, Tremont Trap and Field Club and New Baltimore Sportsmen's Club. He was a devoted wrestling coach for Ferndale and Westmont elementary schools and Brownstown flag football team. Family receiving friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 2 p.m. and Johnstown Lodge 175 BPO Elks ritual will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Benscreek, the Rev. Father Angelo Patti officiating. Committal, Grandview Cemetery.
