ECKHART,MARYLAND -- William F. "Bill" Lashbaugh Jr., 64, of 17011 Neff St., Frostburg, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at WMHS-Braddock Campus.

He was the son of William F. Lashbaugh Sr. and the late Mary A. Lashbaugh.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Ralph P. Bender Sr., and mother-in-law, Edith (Dilley) Bender.

Surviving in addition to his father, William F. Lashbaugh, Sr., of Frostburg is his wife of 43 years, Martha (Bender) Lashbaugh; son, William F. Lashbaugh III, and wife, Jennifer, of Cresaptown; daughter, Ellen M. Kitzmiller, of Cumberland; grandchildren, Macy and Kara Lashbaugh, Brant T. Kitzmiller and Gregory H.T. Kitzmiller; brother, Wesley Lashbaugh, and wife, Gladys, of Frostburg; sister, Barbara Stevenson, and husband, Jack, of Glen Rock, Pa.; brother-in-law, Ralph P. Bender Jr., of Frostburg; and sisters-in-law, Catherine (Bender)Abbott, and husband, Allan, of Taneytown; Celine (Bender) Kropff, and husband, Ernie, of Silver Spring; uncle Richard Lashbaugh, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Lashbaugh was a 1960 graduate of Beall High School and he attended Allegany Community College. He work-ed in the office of the Register of Wills from 1962 until his election as Register of Wills in 1986. He was the Register of Wills until his retirement in 2006. He was Methodist by faith. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Cumberland, Mt. Lodge 99 AF & AM, Frostburg, and Classy Chassis Car Club.

At the request of Mr. Lashbaugh, he will be cremated.

Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, P.A., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Saturday, March 24, 2007, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating.
