He began Active Polish Service on 2nd November 1936 and then served under British Command as a Warrant Officer - Service Number 780965 in the Polish Forces from August 6th 1940 to December 3rd 1946.He received many military decorations, including the Polish Silver Cross, Cross for Valour with two bars, Silver Cross of Merit with Swords and the Airforce Medal. Amongst the British awards, he received the 1939-1945 Star with Battle of Britain clasp, the Aircrew Europe Star with France and Germany clasp.
