Tony Gene Hale, 68 year old Porter resident, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Tony was born on Monday, January 17, 1944 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Richard and Irene (Smith) Hale. He grew up around Wainwright and Oktaha and attended schools in each town as well as in Porter.
On Monday, September 16, 1963 he married the love of his life and best friend Betty Cole in Coweta, Oklahoma.
Tony worked on a farm and pecan orchard for John Matthews and Roy Cole. He also worked as a mechanic for Joe Hayes, Pete Damme and six years for Coweta Public Schools.
Tony loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Jane Billings; two brothers Kenneth and James (Bob) Hale.
Tony is lovingly survived by his wife Betty of the home; children Darryl Hale of Porter and Dana Macareno and her husband Domitilo of Porter; god-daughter Ereka Cole-Hale and her husband Darren of Checotah; grandchildren Amanda Mullins and her fiancé David Cole of Wagoner, Darryl Hale Jr. and his wife Courtney of Oktaha, Antonio Macareno, Kasey Macareno, Carlos Macareno and Dylon Hale all of Porter; great grandchildren Shawn Brackett, Chloe Cole, Anthony Hale and Wyatt Cole.
He is also survived by his brothers John and his wife Rose of Checotah, Whitey and Judy of Whitefield, Richard "Pug" and his wife Jeannie of Checotah, Andy and his wife Pat of Checotah and Dennis and his wife Annette of Muskogee; sister Helen and her husband Joe Casey of Checotah as well as many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and a host of lifelong friends.

Funeral services for Tony will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Garrett Family Chapel with Reverend Ben Hale officiating. Committal prayers and Interment will follow in Middleton Chapel Cemetery under the personal direction of John Garrett.
