Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Mallalieu Immanuel United Methodist Church for Adeline Jesse Harmon, 93, who died December 9, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She was born April 13, 1918 in Lafayette, LA to the late David and Mary Linden Russell. A lifelong resident of Lafayette, Adeline Jesse Harmon, affectionately known as "MeMe" or "Grand Diva", was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a woman of family and faith committed to serving her Lord. She was recognized as a pillar of the church and the core of her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary Linden Russell; husband, Shirley Harmon; son, David Howard; daughters, Shirley Robertson, Margaret Jolivette and Gloria Champagne; sons-in-law, Luke Robertson, Curley Bernard, Doris Jolivette, Lawrence Champagne and sister, Maggie Margaret Kuykendall.
