Allen, Carolyn Ann

Carolyn Ann Allen, 47, 5375N-352W, died at ll:45 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 12, 1984) at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She had been ill the last couple of months.

Mrs. Allen was employed as secretary and receptionist at Huntington College, and was a member of the East State Street Church of God.

She was born March 8, 1937, in Huntington to Chester E. and Ruth Bowers Baker, and her marriage was on March 10, 1956 in Huntington to Stanley O. Allen, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs Galen (Debra) Hoffman, Sheryl Allen and Mrs. Mark (Linda) Riggle, all of Huntington; two brothers, James Baker, Huntington and Douglas Baker, Mesa, Arizonia; the parents, Mr and Mrs. Chester E. Baker, Huntington and a sister, Sharon Baker, Huntington. A brother is deceased.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hart Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the East State Street Church of God with Pastor Lewis Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, and preferred memorials are to Huntington College.

Services for Carolyn An Allen were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the East State Street Church of God, with Rev. Lewis Thomas and Dr. Ralph Bealer officiating.

Pallbearers were Galen Hoffman, Mark Riggle, Tim Frank, Jim Hinthorn, Howard Hinton, and Mike Caudill. Burial was in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.

Hart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
