Mrs. Bertha Blankenship, 77, Jonesboro, died yesterday in Unicoi County Memorial Hospital.

A native of Unicoi County and the widow of Oscar S. Blankenship, she was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two sons; Ray of Johnson City and David Floyd of ALexandria, Va; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Tipton of Chucky, Mrs. Ina Sands of Portsmouth, Va and Mrs. Pauline Willis of Erwin. One brother, Hiram Phillips of Flag Pond; two sisters, Mrs Clara Sparks of Jonesboro and Mrs. Eddie Silvers of Cain River, NC. *Source- Johnson City Press, April 29, 1969, Page 2
