Glenn, 69, of Apache Junction, Arizona, formerly Stockbridge, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2012 after a one year battle with lung cancer.

Glenn was an employee of Chelsea Milling Company for 21 years before moving to Arizona, where he worked 21 years as a security guard for the INS in Florence, AZ.

Glenn has been a member of the Herbert J. McKune American Legion Post 31 for the past 40 years, where he proudly served his country and the United States Marine Corps at the rank of Lance Corporal from 1960-64.

On April 25, 1976, he married Margaret Ellen Dixon in Las Vegas, NV and she survives. Also surviving are his four children: James (Sharon) Mills of Jackson, Terri (Tom) Mills-Wacker of Grass Lake, Claudia Powers of Stockbridge, and Jeff (Diana) Mills of Henderson, NV; nine grand children; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Norman (Bonnie) Hayes of Channing, MI; sisters, Faith (John) Stone of Gladstone, MI and Gerri Wilkerson of Chelsea; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Norma Hayes, and one brother, William Hayes.

A Funeral Service was held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge with Rev. Kathy Schell officiating. A wake was held Saturday, November 17, at the American Legion Post 31, Chelsea, MI.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Arbor Hospice Foundation or donations may be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation in memory of Glenn Hayes.
