Hollie was born in Lufkin, Texas to William Hollie and Gladys Peavy Smith. He proudly served our country during World War II in the United States Marines in the Pacific Theater and retired from CITGO as a safety supervisor. A master woodworker, Hollie filled his families' homes with unique and decorative wooden pieces that were crafted not only with his skill, but love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joe Smith, and a daughter, Linda Darlene Langley.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 61 years, Imogene Diseker Smith, Lake Charles; four children, one sister, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, and another one on the way.
