Dennis Casey, 84, retired Rock County farmer, died at 3:45 p.m. Friday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Fessenden, 24 S. Palm Street, after having been in failing health for the past year.
Son of Dennis and Mary Doran Casey, he was born March 21, 1865, in Porter and was married to Mary Ford Feb. 5, 1891 at Neosho, Wis. Mr. Casey retired from farming in Porter township in 1941.
Surviving are five sons, Edward, Harold and Dennis, all of Janesville, John, of Evansville and Emmett, of Edgerton; three daughters, Mrs. Fessenden and Mrs. Lulu Anderson, both of Janesville and Mrs. Rosella Martin, Madison; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
His wife died in 1935. Three children died in infancy and two brothers and four sisters also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Kimball-Nelson funeral home and at 9 o'clock in St. Patrick's church, of which he was a member. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery, Edgerton. The rosary service will be at 8 p.m. Sunday. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday evening and Sunday.
