On Wednesday, January 14, 1914, Mr. Alex and Mrs. Melinda Shelton became the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl whom they named Lillian (Lillie) Shelton.
At an early age Lillie, accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, and became a long time member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church family.
Lillie loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy in life, and she will be lovingly remembered.
Lillie, passed away into the arms of her sweet Jesus on Thursday, July 14, 2011 in her home.
Lillie, was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Jackson, parents, Alex and Melinda Shelton; sisters, Senie Shelton, Lizzie Jackson, Caroline Richmond, Nellie King, Eliza White; brothers, R.H. Shelton, Harrett Shelton, Miller Shelton, Emanuel Shelton, Abraham Shelton, and Godfrey Shelton.
Lillie, leaves behind to cherish her precious memories: daughter, Ruth Hobbs, granddaughter Olinka Drones (Kevin), grandson, Steven Hobbs, great grandchildren; Keondra Hobbs, Kyron Drones, and Kyndall Drones; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
