Emil Henry Hanner, son of William and Dorothy Hanner, was born January 8, 1883, at Bruno. He was baptized May 20, 1883, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Millerton, and joined it May 16, 1916.
He married Margaret Daro, March 16, 1911 in Bruno, and to this union two children were born. He resided in Butler County all but six years of his life.
Mr. Hanner is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, Harold of Portland, Oregon, and Ernest in the Coast Guard at Louisville, Kentucky; his mother, Dorothy Hanner of Kearney; four brothers, Carl of Kearney, Fred of Bloomington, Illinois, William of Lincoln and Louis of Octavia; three sisters, Lydia and Minnie of Kearney and Mrs. C. Licking of Seneca.
Mr. Hanner was a faithful Christian, a loving husband and father and a kind neighbor, deeply missed by those who knew him.
