When he was older, Anders must have left Hajom parish for Göteborg (Gothenburg) because on 5 Oct 1879, he married widow Carolina Olsdotter at the church in Karl Johans Parish in Göteborg . Carolina had previously been married to August Svensson and had three young children. Together Anders and Carolina had five more, four daughters and a son. They were Ellen Serafia (Anderson) Johansson, Hildur Isabella (Anderson) Nielsen, Bertha Charlotte (Anderson) Hansen, Oscar Emil Anderson, and Annie Herminia (Anderson) Johnson Tobiasson.
Anders, Carolina, and all of their children eventually immigrated to North America and settled in Maine, just not at the same time. When Anders died at age 68, he was a farmer. He died of liver cancer.
