Son of Judge Conner and Magnolia Nichols. Husband of Catherine Estelle Polk.

CONNOR, Fred G. Nashville, TN -- Age 90

Entered into eternal peace on Monday, January 19, 2004 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Katherine Estell Connor; sons, Billy Joe Connor, Horace Connor, and Tommy Connor. Mr. Connor leaves to cherish his memory a son, John Connor; daughters, Mozell Smith, Teresa Connor, Irene Reynolds, of Lynville, TN; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; cousin, Rachael Cannedy, Los Angeles, CA; special devoted family friend, James Russell; a host of other family and friends. Special thanks to Alive Hospice and Nurse Dawn Bledesa for taking such good care of him. Family visitation Saturday, January 24, 2004, 11-12 noon, Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 1233 First Avenue, So., funeral to follow with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery.
