Mr. Morris Daniel Willis, age 62, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away October 13, 2012. Mr. Willis began his gospel career at the early age of 3 when he stood on a piano stool and his sister Helen Hydman played for him. His gospel career included being pianist with the Masters Quartet, Lancers, Singing Americans, Diplomats, J.D. Summer & The Stamps, and the Sounds of Praise.

Survivors include his wife, Gail Willis; daughters and son-in-laws, Danelle and Tim McClure of Wartrace, TN, Leslie and Jermekia McCoy of Villa Rica, GA, and Crystal W. and Darryl Carter of Conyers, GA and Angela Willis Enloe of Murphy, NC; grandchildren, Hayden Sophia, Dillon, Zachariah and Isabella McClure, Trey and Tyrin Wheeler, Ta'Sean and Tylah McCoy, Demetris Flemster, Jr., Sydney Carter, Darryl Carter, Jr., Maya Carter, Aryana and Kayla Carter, Kevin Enloe, and Kyla Enroe; his mother, Pearl Sisson Willis of Blairsville, GA; brother, Rev. Harold and Belle Willis of Blue Ridge, GA; sister, Helen and Jim Hyndman of Dahlonega, GA; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday October 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Chastain and Rev. Harold Willis officiating. Music was provided by Rev. Bobby Chastain, Sydney
Carter and Maxine Redd. Graveside service was conducted by Dr. Roger Beck. Interment followed in the Youngs Chapel Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: James Willis, Jonathan Willis, Mark Willis, Demetris Flemister, Trey Wheeler and D.J. Carter.
