Mrs. French, 71, died Wednesday in St. John Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
She was born in Oklahoma Aug. 7, 1893, the daughter of William and Bridget Norton Brothers. She was married to Guy C. French in 1926. He died in 1937.
She was a member of the American Nurses Association and St. Andrew's Church.
She leaves sons, William of Phoenix, Ariz., Richard of Chicago and Jack of Florissant, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Winifred Murdock of Osawantomie, Kan.; and eight grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Meyer- Denny Funeral Home in Murphysboro after 4 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary will be recited at St. Andrew's Church at 7 p.m. Sunday.
