Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, in Pettett Funeral Home, with Father Gary Gummersheimer officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Friends of Sunnyhill Rehabilitation Center, 421 Doris Ave., Joliet, IL 60435.
Janie was born on April 5, 1906, in Murphysboro to Alexander H. and Eva (Burkey) Mileur.
She married Clarence VanCloostere on Nov. 22, 1927, in Murphysboro, and he preceded her in death on October 6, 1976.
She moved from Murphysboro to Centralia in 1953, and upon her husband's death in 1976, she moved to Shorewood.
Mrs. VanCloostere is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Larry Wilkinson; three grandchildren and their spouses, Debra and William Gray, Michael and Diane Wilkinson and Donna and Patrick Samek; seven great-grandchildren, Eric and wife Michelle Gray, Megan Gray, Ryan Wilkinson, Danielle Samek, Alexander Wilkinson, Samantha Gray, and Bryan Samek.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. VanCloostere was preceded in death by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Blanche and Raymond Moniger and Laura and Robert Moore, and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Edith Mileur, Harmon and Jessie Mileur, and Eugene and Hazel Mileur.
