Carolyn, age 76, died at her home in Okemah. She was the daughter of Oscar O. and Zada P. Copeland. She graduated from Okemah High School. She married C.J. Garrett in 1953 in Okmulgee.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Copeland. Survivors include her husband, her son, James Garrett, her brother, Donald Copeland, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Okemah.
