Clara Irene Cross, 82, of Ladoga passed away Saturday evening at Brownsburg Meadows. She was born Feb. 12, 1930, at Ladoga, to Ernest Clayton and Garnet Gause French.
She was a homemaker and raised five daughters; she graduated from Ladoga High School in 1948. She was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church.
On May 14, 1949, she married James S. Cross at Ladoga. He passed away Oct. 6, 2010.
Surviving are five daughters, Sharon (Lester) Miles, Diane Cross, Debbie (Danny) Gibbs, Amy (Dan) Holladay, Theresa "T.C." Cross, all of Ladoga; six grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; two brothers, David (Joan) French of Ladoga and Ernest (Joan) French of Lebanon; and one sister, Carol French of Ladoga.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Ladoga Christian Church on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at 3 p.m. Visitation will be at the church from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Paul Leonard will officiate. Burial will be at Ladoga Cemetery.
