He was a fireman for the T&P Railway.

"Funeral services for Iley D. Gentry, 58, of Dodson, were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Dodson Baptist Church, Rev. Ray E. Prager, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Gentry died March 12 in a railroaders hospital in Marshall, Texas. Burial was in Gansville Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Iley D. Gentry, Jr., of Kentwood, La.; one sister, Mrs. Ola Terral of Dodson; three brothers, Ivy Gentry of Jonesboro, Ernest Gentry of Monroe, and Walter Gentery of Abilene, Texas."
