Earl G. Kingsley was born in Franklinville in 1877. He began his banking career Jun 1, 1898, as discount clerk in the First National Bank of Franklinville, and during these intervening sixteen years has been advanced from time to time until now he holds the position of assistant cashier in the Union National Bank since January 1911. After leaving Ten Broeck Academy he took a course in Detroit Business University before entering the bank.
Mr. Kingsley is a member of the First Presbyterian church and the Odd Fellow, Mason and O. E. S. Lodges. He served the I. O. O. F., Lodge as treasurer for ten years, and is now its Noble Grand; he was treasurer of the F. & A. M. Lodge for four years and has also been Village Treasurer, School Collector and Treasurer of the First Presbyterian church.
His duties at the bank have made it necessary for him to drop these many outside offices, and the only one he now holds is treasurer of the Mens' Bible Class of the First Presbyterian church and Noble Grand of the Odd Fellows Lodge. In 1905 he married Miss Lorene Farwell of this village.
