Frederick P. Brody, son of Hannibal and Lydia Brody, was born at Linden in Dallas County, December 14, 1865, and died June 15, 1949, at the Osceola County Hospital, at the age of 83.

He was united with the Christian Church at Linden in early manhood and on February 12, 1895, he was married to Areena Gilmore. To this union were born six children as follows: Gordon of Sibley; Lydia Doerr of Stafford; Clifford of Sibley; Ruby Moses of Bagley; Fred, Jr. of Seattle, Washington; Juanita Holler of Clinton, Minnesota.

He moved to Osceola County in 1912 near Allendorf and Ocheyedan where he farmed until his death. His wife passed away March 24, 1917, and he was united in marriage on December 25, 1923, to Edna Moar, who survives. He was a kind and loving husband and father.

Besides his wife and children, he leaves 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. LaDena White of Fort Dodge, and other relatives and friends. He will long be remembered as a kind and generous Neighbor.
