Mr. James "Jim" Burl Swift, age 81, Telford, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Swift was a native of Johnson County, TN, and son of the late William Butler & Ada Warren Swift. In addition to his parents, Mr. Swift was also preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Deaderick Swift; and several brothers and sisters.
He attended New Victory United Methodist Church.
Mr. Swift retired from the Washington County Highway Department and was a Farmer.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell & Cathy Swift and Dennis & Jamie Swift; grandchildren, Courtney Swift, Justin Swift, Ethan Swift and Emily Swift; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl Ray & Martha Swift and Earl Clay & Pauline Swift; sister, Francis Epperly; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Dykes officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Interment services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012, at New Victory Methodist Cemetery with Rev. Coy Rice officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends.
