Barry enjoyed wildlife, photography and riding his Harley-Davidson. Mr. Simmons was a member of the Teamsters Local 771 and retired from Yellow Freight after 25 years. He then went on to work in real estate and in his concession business.
Mr. Simmons is survived by his sister, Diane M. Deatrick; brother, James L. Simmons; and his close companion, Jennifer Eckles.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Gundel Funeral Home, 415 N. Duke Street, Lancaster, PA. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. prior to service, with interment following the service at Millersville Mennonite Church Cemetery.
