Nell Marie Wight Dalton passed away peacefully on November 19, 2012 at her home in Monticello, UT. She was 91 years old.

Nell was born April 15, 1921 on a farm near Wentworth, MO. She was the fourth child of Roy and Lucy Wight.

Her siblings: Bill, Lora, Wilma, Jason, Jim and Jud, and her parents all precede her in death.

Nell came to Utah in June of 1941, where she met the love of her life, Max Dalton.

Max and Nell became the parents of five children: Yancy Lee, Georgia Nell, Virginia (Ginger) Marie, Carolina and William Monte.

When Max passed away in 2007, they were the proud grandparents of 23 grandchildren and 49 plus great-grandchildren. She added a few great-great grandchildren later.

Although the kids do not know how they are going to make it without her, they are thankful she is out of pain and with her Max.

She was a special lady, a great friend and a dear, sweet mother. Good-bye MOM!

In the Spirit of Grandma Nell

...And so a journey comes to an end.
A grandma, mother, example and friend,
you will be missed,
there is no doubt,
the tears we shed
will end this drought,
your wish is filled,
the battle's done,
in peace at last,
with God's own Son,
the lives you've touched will be your fame,
the earth will never
be the same,
to Grandma Nell,
we raise our glass,
for in our hearts, you'll always last...
